Our Process

A good construction project starts before work begins. Our process keeps
clients informed and gives each stage the attention it needs.

Phase 1

Initial Consultation

We start by discussing your goals, priorities, approximate budget, and what you want the finished project to accomplish.

Phase 2

Site Evaluation

We visit the property, review the existing conditions, take measurements, and identify anything that may affect the design, budget, or construction.

Phase 3

Design and Engineering

When drawings or engineering are required, we can coordinate them through our relationship with Bertin Engineering.

Phase 4

Scope and Proposal

Once the project is defined, we prepare a clear scope and proposal so you understand what is included before work begins.

Phase 5

Permitting and Preconstruction

MAE prepares and submits the required permit applications and coordinates the approval process. Permit fees are paid by the property owner unless the contract says otherwise. We also finalize scheduling, selections, and site logistics.

Phase 6

Construction

Our team manages the work, trades, inspections, schedule, and communication. You will know what is happening and what comes next.

Phase 7

Final Walkthrough

We complete the final details, walk through the work with you, address applicable punch-list items, and close out the project.

Phase 8

Acquire Certificate of Occupancy

MAE will help guide you through the process of obtaining your Certificate of Occupancy (CO), coordinating the required inspections and assisting with the documentation needed to ensure your project complies with your municipality’s requirements for final approval and occupancy.
